All participants attending APWSS 2023 who do not hold a Thai passport require a visa. However, citizens of countries or regions which have visa exemption with Thailand can enter without a visa for a limited time.

There are certain countries not eligible to apply for an E-Visa, as additional documents are needed for approval. If you are unsure if eligible for an online visa or do not have access to the online application process, you can contact your local Thai Embassy and organize an appointment. Many embassies will not allow walk-ins, and immigration requirements may change without notice, so it is best to contact them beforehand and confirm what documents you need to provide.

Minimum Required Documents (Tourist Visa)

Passsport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months
Photograph of the applicant taken within the past six months
Evidence of travel from Thailand (air ticket booking)
Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)

All documents in a foreign language must be translated into English or Thai and certified before they will be approved.


The Visa Exemption rule allows tourists in the list of countries below to enter Thailand without applying for a visa. Travelers can visit Thailand for up to 30 days if they are entering Thailand through an international airport or land border checkpoint from a neighboring country.

VISA on Arrival

The Visa on Arrival scheme allows passport holders of listed countries and territories below to enter Thailand without needing to apply for a Tourist Visa from a Thai Embassy in their own country.
Please be advised that the APWSS 2023 will take place in Phuket, Phuket International Airport is one of Thailand's Immigration Checkpoints which provide facilities for issuance of visa on arrival.
